Types of Emergencies; Lifejackets and Immersion Suits; Abandon Ship Protocols; Lifeboat & Liferaft Operation; Righting a Capsized Raft; Cold Water Survival & Hypothermia.

Train maritime personnel to properly utilize personal life-saving appliances and effectively lead survival actions following vessel abandonment.

Students will be able to don a lifejacket/immersion suit correctly under 1 minute, jump safely from a height into water, and board a liferaft unassisted.

Course Rules

100% practical pool session attendance is compulsory. Physical stamina clearance required prior to pool entry.
