Description

Chemistry of Fire; Fire Classifications (A, B, C, D); In-flight Fire Locations (Galley, Lavatory, Overhead Bin); Smoke Hood (PBE) Operation; Extinguishers.

Train crew to instantly identify fire sources, operate protective breathing equipment, and aggressively suppress cabin fires using standard operating procedures.

Students will be able to don a Protective Breathing Equipment (PBE) device under 15 seconds, select and discharge the correct extinguisher.

Live Fire Trainer Simulator; Water/Halon Training Extinguishers; Protective Breathing Equipment Mockups; Fire Axes.

Course Rules

Flame-retardant practical wear is compulsory. Active panic or failure to operate equipment correctly results in a retake.
